Practices begin the week of Monday, August 31st and will continue until the season ends. As we start to lose daylight, the practice times may shift to earlier times. Practices are held at the Watson Fields in Lamoine. See directions and map below.

AFFC Summer Programs for july/august 2020
Welcome to the first Summer programming for AFFC! We will host Skills Trainings for players Kindergarten through 12th grade! These trainings are open to players from all around the area and all different skill levels. We will continue our COVID-19 protocols for NO CONTACT distance training for all trainings. Please see the posted information about this on our COVID-19 webpage.
LOCATION:
Practices will take place at 586 Mud Creek Rd., Lamoine - home of Herb Watson, just near the intersection of Pinkham Flatts Rd. and McFarland Rd. You will see the fields from the road. You are welcome to use the walking trails. Dogs are permitted. Please practice LEAVE NO TRACE principles while using the property.
LOWER FIELD PARKING: please use the turn-out spot to make a U-turn and then park past the first utility pole on the right side of the road. There is a trail to get into the field at this upper area.
UPPER FIELD PARKING: please pull off the main road and into Herb’s driveway, parking on the grass on either side of the tar, all around the smaller U-turn.

OUT OF STATE PLAYERS: For the safety of our families… if a player is joining us from outside Maine and has not quarantined for 14 day and is not from one of the following exempt states, then the player will need to show proof of a negative Coronavirus test.

PROGRAM REGISTRATION:
For current and past AFFC players and families, SoccerMaine is rolling out a whole new registration platform with GotSport (GotSoccer). Because of this, you will need to set up a NEW ACCOUNT for your player when registering. None of your old information will do anything, unless you use it again in setting up your new account. Using the FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD, WILL NOT WORK, until you have created an initial account.
COST:
K-8th group go for 6 weeks at a price of $160. Dates of program are July 6th to August 14th.
High School: A new session added since the start time for local HS has been delayed - Program is Aug. 3-21st. See payment plan for August when registering. If already registered for this, login and choose the new payment plan for the August sessions.

Premier Teams Girls Teams Premier Academy Skills Academy SoccerFit! Goalkeeper School
This is the proposed schedule for Winter Session 2, starting Monday, Feb. 24th and going through Sunday, April 19th. This schedule is subject to change according to enrollment numbers for the different time slots, needing a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 22.
TURF or INDOOR SOCCER SHOES are required. We do have a lending rack at the Firehouse for anyone to use and return after individual use.
Shin guards are recommended. Mouth guards are optional.

pREMIER tEAMS
U12/U14/U16/U19 Boys
U14, U16 and U19 Premier Teams will receive two 1.5 hr trainings per week. U12 will receive one 1.25 hr, and one 1.5 hr training each week. All teams will play practice games over the winter, and play in the Maine State Premier League in the spring. Teams will play in one tournament over Father’s Day weekend — The Coastal Challenge. All Premier Team players will be selected by tryout, coach’s recommendations, and recruiting.
COST: U12 Boys Team $900 (not including uniform)
U14/U16/U19 Boys Teams $925 (not including uniform)

We are looking to grow our girls program at AFFC. Currently, we have slots in the schedule for girls within the age range of birth year 2011 to 2003 to practice with other girls their similar age. These players will learn soccer skills and tactics to further their soccer abilities, with the possibility of forming teams for North East Development League, Pine Tree League or Premier League for the spring game season.

The Premier Academy is a skills academy for more experienced soccer players born in 2010 and 2011. This group will receive two 1.5 hr sessions per week learning advanced skills and tactics in order to prepare them to play premier soccer. In the spring, teams will continue to train weekly and play in festival games and the Coastal Summer Challenge Fathers Day tournament.

SKILLS ACADEMY
Girls and Boys ages 5-18
The popular Skills Academy is for beginner players 5-18 years old. Training will focus on learning essential soccer skills, soccer tactics, and improving agility. All players are welcome to join. In the spring Skill Academy players may have the opportunity to join teams competing in spring leagues.
To register for Skills Academy, use the table below, and click the blue price that relates to your player. As the 5th and 8th grade ages are listed below with two different groupings, please use your discretion of your child’s ability and size to determine which group is best for them. Also know that coaches have the discretion to make a switch if needed.
For example, when registering, if your player is in 9th grade, and wishes to play in Winter Session #2, you would click on “$225” in the bottom right corner of the table below.

SoccerFIt!
Middle School and High School Girls and Boys
In the SoccerFit! program, players will focus on strength training and advanced soccer skills. Participants in SoccerFit! show rapid development in their athleticism and soccer abilities. Professional trainer, Alex Johnson, trains the athletes with the help of AFFC coaches.
